October'16 - Jeep overtaking another vehicle on the A272 outside Pheasants Hatch, ran out of road and ended up crashing into the property fence. No injuries surprisingly, but the fence was written off. The householders are still pursuing payment for the
Collision on double S bend in Sharpsbridge Lane leaving lengthy skid marks on highway and damaged car parts and bike at side of road. September 2016.
Two cars smashed into hedge of Primrose Cottages on A272 at 5am on Sunday 2nd October. No injuries but a lot of damage.
On the 11th January there was an accident near Trading Boundaries and the roads were blocked there for at least an hour. Alternate routes via Mill Lane were not possible due to the flooding.
Just to let you know that there was an accident on the bridge in Northall Lane on the morning of 1st January. Mr Thomas Parkhouse swerved to avoid a deer and hit the bridge. He has provided his insurance details and I have passed this information on to
the Highways Contact Centre. I have also asked our Highways Steward to inspect the bridge as soon as possible to make sure it’s safe. The incident was reported to the police.
Wednesday 18th Nov, approx 0940hrs. A272 adjacent to Traveller site entrance between ESFR & Piltdown. Cyclist injured in presumed collision with a car. Air Ambulance transfer to hospital.
I was travelling in the Highways stewards van down Sharpsbridge Lane when a vehicle travelling at a speed which was unacceptable overtook us whilst stationary and hit the Highways steward van.
